As the temperature rose on the green so did the amount of matches being played, In the national Champion of champions Colin Boozer won his 2nd Round match against David Hall (Chipstead) 21-12, Debbie Souter with son Charlie (Weybridge) won their Family Pairs match.
The county comps also really got started, Rob Dodds won his first 2 matches in the 2 wood singles, Andrew Richardson went to Raynes Park to play Dhillon on a very heavy green, Andrew won very convincingly. In the unbadged singles it was the battle of Southey between Chris Doubledee and Mike Parlour , it was Chris who ran out the winner, the next day they came back again in the pairs, Chris with Chas Manser, Mike with Derek Welch, once again Chris was again on the winning side, However their was disappointment for President Ian Birnie and Ken Dobinson losing out to a pair from Supreme. In the Ladies Comps Dee Moores narrowly lost out 21-20 to Una Douglas (Hook & S) in the Champion of Champions. The Triple of Liz Anderson, Shan Maylin & Debbie Souter lost in the triples to a team from Egham.
In a another Surrey Comp the Mens Top 4 it was again a battle of 2 fours from Southey ,, defending Area 2 Champions Chas Manser, Nick Rayner, Ian Birnie & Steve Wessier beating Chris Doubledee, Ray Cousins, Bill D’Sa & Craig Baker by 4 shots, very close match all the way through.
The club also had a K & D match vs Raynes Park, losing out by 65-48, 8 points to 2.
