Busy week for the Southey bowlers

Tuesday saw the start of the Surrey Men’s Triples, Chris Doubledee, Nick Rayner & Ian Birnie went and won convincingly at Putney Town. Wednesday was a busier day , Southey played Purley Bury in the Past Times trophy, this was 1 triple at home, 1 away. Southey were behind for most of the match but came strong at the end to sneak a 6 shot win. At Wallington the ladies played the Surrey Overs 4s, Dee Moores, Sandra Greatorex, Shan Maylin & Debbie Souter won only dropping 1 shot, Also over there Andrew Richardson Won his LSC Gold Badge 21-6. Thursday was Men’s County Pairs evening, at home Andrew & Craig Baker beat Granville Spencer & Mark Smith (Malden Manor) but Nick Rayner & Colin Devaney lost to Jason Hogg & John Brechin (Supreme) . Away saw Chas Manser & Steve Wessier winning at North Sheen but Chris Doubledee & Bill D’Sa lost at Mid Surrey. Back at Southey Sandra won her Surrey Singles playing excellently to beat Brittany Clarke (Supreme). Finally on to Friday it was Ladies Surrey Pairs, Sandra with Pat Chappell won at Chessington and Liz Anderson with Debbie won at Supreme, For the men it was the Surrey Singles, Andrew beating Eoghan Harding (West Wimbledon) 21-16 but Nick Rayner lost to Dan Capon at North Sheen.
