The week starting on the Mon 21st June did not get off to a great start, The four of Paul Foley, Andrew Richardson, Craig Baker, Rob Dodds lost in the Surrey 4s to the Weybridge team of Jamie, Joseph Tindall, Mark Bishopp & Charlie Souter 14-11. Steve Wessier’s 4 also lost over at Chertsey. Tuesday saw an all Southey clash in the Triples, with Bill D’Sa, Chas Manser, Steve Wessier coming out on top.

Wednesday saw the Senior 4s in action for Men and Ladies. Dee Moores , Sandra Greatorex, Shan Maylin and Debbie Souter beating a 4 from Cheam Fields 18-15, that takes them into the Quarter Finals. For the men, Ray Cousins, Ken Dobinson, Bill D’Sa & Ian Birnie went to Epsom Park and won 16-11.

Thursday was the Men’s Pairs , Andrew Richardson & Craig Baker had an excellent 19-10 win over Alan Harding & Russell Smith (West Wimbledon). Dee Moores was also playing her National Chp of Chps v Margaret Brookbank of Supreme, Dee fought hard but it was Margaret who came out the winner.

Friday was a busy day on the green, The afternoon saw Andrew Richardson play his Surrey Singles vs Steve Allnutt (Mid Surrey), it was an excellent game but Andrew won 21-14. Also going on was the LSC 4s of Chris Pinto, Chris Doubledee, Bill D’Sa, Chas Manser winning an exciting match on an extra end vs Sutton. The evening the saw Lix Anderson & Debbie Souter win their Surrey Pairs. Unfortunately In the NSL Top 10 Southey were comfortably beaten by Belmont.

On Saturday saw Surbiton visit Southey in the KDL, this was a very comfortable win of 90-21 , winning all the 10 points. In the National Mixed 4s at North Sheen, Dee Moores, Di Double (Supreme),Ian Birnie, Andrew Richardson beat Kate Capon, Shan Maylin, Richard Cushen, Mick Sigamoney winning 15-8.
