Weds 7th July saw the Quarter finals of the Men’s Unbadged Singles, Ian Birnie was again on hand to pass the green over to the County. The green looked and played superbly with plenty of spectators to watch . On the green the 3 winners were Peter Hamilton (Dorking), Dave Ayton (Egham) & Joseph Tindall (Weybridge) also Southey !! Tom Rolfe (North Sheen) was already through due to a walkover. Next week they are back for the Semi Finals with the Officers Cup. Surrey and Buckinghamshire come to Southey.

On Tuesday 6th July we hosted a Men’s County Friendly between Surrey and Buckinghamshire. It was fantastic to see the green almost full the flags of both counties flying with ours. We served them rolls, teas and coffees before the mach. After the match they were served a hot meal that went done very well by our new caterers. We even had 3 members acting as car park attendants. The green was superbly prepared by Stephen Spencer which brought complements by both teams.
